POSCO Chemical, the next generation anode material development and EV beneficiary

The company was founded in 1971 with the aim of constructing and repairing refractories, designing, manufacturing and selling various industrial furnaces, and manufacturing and selling lime products.

Samhwa Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 with the main purpose of manufacturing and sales of basic refractories.

Corporate group As a subsidiary of the POSCO Group, a total of 34 companies belong to the corporate group. It accounts for about 22% of the domestic refractory market (as of 2018).
